North Las Vegas, NV, September 01, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Doctor Kris Alan Hanchett, Proprietor of Kris A. Hanchett, MD, LTD, and a member in good standing of the American Academy of Family Physicians, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in family medicine.

With 15 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Hanchett has done location work for the United States Veterans Health Care System. Dr. Hanchett voluntarily accepts 6 to 11 month assignments away from home, to cover the veterans at the clinic he goes to until a permanent doctor can be found. Over the last 12 years he has been on 16 of these assignments.

Dr. Hanchett is a veteran of the United States Air Force. During the end of the Viet Nam era he was stationed at the forward base K2 where his duty as a flight line radar & weapons mechanic was to help keep the F-4 Phantom jets flying.

After his military service he returned overseas where he got a job as an instructor pilot for the U.S. Air Force personnel stationed at Clark Air Base, and Cubi Point Naval Air Station at Subic Bay in the Philippine Islands. Living there for 10 years he worked his way through, first Nursing College, then Medical School at St. Louis University, Baguio City, the Philippines.

After graduation he returned to the States where he passed the medical boards, did his residency in Chicago, then went on to live his dream; to provide health care to our military veterans. During this time he wrote a book, a work of fiction based on fact. A story about office based medical practice as seen through the simple, uncomplicated mind of a 12 year old child. The book's title is "Instant Infinity."
