With 16 years of experience in the health care field, Dr. Filipova is an expert in internal medicine. She works as a medical director at Sunset Park Adult Medicine Department of Lutheran Family Health Center, where she is responsible for providing direct patient care and teaching residents. She also oversees all of the day-to-day administrative aspects.

Holding an MD from Karaganda State University in Kazakhstan, Dr. Filipova completed a residency at the Lutheran Medical Center in 2006. She is board-certified in internal medicine and is a member of both the American Medical Association and American College of Physicians. Dr. Filipova intends to continue being active within her community in the future.
