WellMed Partners With NextDoor Health To Open Primary Care Clinics at 4 Central Texas Walmart stores
By placing physicians and staff in the pathway of people's busy lives, WellMed Family Care clinics will make healthcare a more routine part of Central Texas living.

SAN ANTONIO, TX, May 21, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- San Antonio, TX - WellMed Medical Management Inc., in partnership with NextDoor Health, will open the first of four primary care clinics at Central Texas Walmart stores this Wednesday, May 25, 2011, the companies announced today.

WellMed Family Care clinics will be staffed by dedicated professionals, in most cases primary care physicians, and will treat patients as young as 18 months. These primary care clinics will offer an array of healthcare services for patients, from routine check ups to treating minor injuries and illnesses.

By placing physicians and staff in the pathway of people's busy lives, WellMed Family Care clinics will make healthcare a more routine part of Central Texas living. Now, along with purchasing groceries, toys, and pharmacy items, customers can stop in for a school physical exam, wellness checkup, or other common procedures or treatments.

The first WellMed Family Care clinic opens at the Walmart Superstore in Round Rock at 2701 S. Interstate 35 on Wednesday, May 25. Regular hours eventually will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Patients can walk in or make an appointment by calling 512-218-3926.

By mid-summer, WellMed Family Care clinics will open in these communities:

• San Marcos - Walmart Supercenter, 1015 Texas 80
• Seguin - Walmart Supercenter, 550 South 123 Bypass
• Kerrville - Walmart Supercenter, 1216 Junction Highway

Grand opening events for these clinics will be announced soon.
