Anne Helene Wieler celebrates 56 years as a consultant

ONTARIO, ON, CANADA, September 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne Helene Wieler, Consultant, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in healthcare consultation.

With 56 years of experience as a health professional, Anne Helene Wieler is involved in attending advisory board meetings with public health and non-governmental organizations, determining planning strategies for the development of Public Health Policies, and consulting with companies and organizations on healthcare delivery. Ms. Wieler began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse and then entered the clinical public health arena. She moved to policy development and became a generalist in the field, moving into management and overseeing organizations in the health field. She received the Order of Canada, the country's highest civilian award, in 2008 for her role in healthcare services provision, both nationally and internationally. She continues as a volunteer, board member and advisor for community-based health service organizations. She sits on several boards of healthcare delivery organizations, advising them on various aspects of public health. She became involved in her profession because of her lifelong desire to become a nurse and interest in the medical field, and she attributes her success to the support she receives from her role models and the people around her.

Ms. Wieler received her Post-Master's Diploma in Gerontology, having received her Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan in 1973 and her Bachelor of Nursing from McGill University in 1969. She is a member of the American Public Health Association, the Canadian Public Health Association, the Canadian Society for Circumpolar Health, and the International Society for Circumpolar Health.
