In addition to offering his services as a primary care physician, Dr. Cortina specializes in diabetology and provides advanced treatment for gastroenterology and asthma.

Inspired by his father, who is a practicing physician, Dr. Cortina made the decision to pursue a career in the healthcare field. Dr. Cortina earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2001 and a Ph.D. and MD from Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic in 1980.
