Marquerite Burdon has 21 years of professional experience in caring for patients, communication and working in the operating room. She is also a circulating and scrub nurse and became involved in her profession because she had many experiences serving people with medical problems including her uncle, who was a severe burn patient, her other uncle who had cancer and her close friend who had diabetes. In addition to pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing, Marquerite Burdon received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1988 from Adelphi University. She attributes her success to her mother, Mary Madeline, Aunt Jackie Burdon, Aunt Jackie Moisan, and Auntie Ann DeMoustees who all showed grace and courage every day.
