Cambridge Who's Who Names Theresa Crosswhite Professional of the Year in Adolescent Nursing
Theresa Crosswhite has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in adolescent nursing.


strong> /Family Medicine News Articles/ - PORTLAND, OR, September 17, 2007 - Theresa Crosswhite, registered nurse for Providence Portland Medical Center, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of adolescent nursing.

As a registered nurse with expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry for Providence Portland Medical Center, Crosswhite is tasked with a variety of duties including dispensing medications and monitoring their side effects, working with patients and parents together with social workers, and planning the care of patients. In addition, Crosswhite, audits charts, works to maintain and continuously improve quality assurance and participated in interviews to determine whether or not the center would be granted the status of magnet hospital. Providence Portland Medical Center provides patient care in numerous areas including oncology, cardiology, orthopedics, women's health, rehabilitation and behavioral health.

Crosswhite received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of New Mexico in 1998 and her bachelors degree in psychology from Southern Oregon University in 1995. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Phi Beta Kappa, the Oregon Nurses Association and the International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses.
